Primary Industry

Strategen has extensive professional experience in the primary industry and land management sectors including:

• horticulture (e.g. land and soil capability, fertiliser and irrigation programs for citrus, mango and stone fruit orchards)
• viticulture (e.g. Independent Expert Reports, land and soil capability, and fertiliser and irrigation programs)
• agriculture (e.g. land capability, fertiliser programs, rehabilitation of degraded land and agroforestry)
• plantation forestry (e.g. soil and land capability, plantation inventory, research programs, precision fertiliser programs, independent forester assessments and audits for bluegum, pine, sandalwood and teak plantations).

Strategen is experienced in determining land capability and can also provide, on behalf of companies in the primary industry, expert consultation and liaison with Government agencies in relation to environmental aspects and impacts.

Rehabilitation

The rehabilitation of disturbed landscapes is often a critical consideration in project approval and acceptance.  When disturbance is associated with a development, rehabilitation may be required, but can also be considered an offset for residual impacts.

Strategen has developed a rehabilitation capability and service built on practical experience through:

• development of rehabilitation plans
• development and assessment of rehabilitation criteria
• design and project management of revegetation programs for various landscape types including wetland and upland vegetation restoration
