14 Mar Draft Odour Guidelines seminar
Removing complexity to make growth and development happen.
On the back of the long awaited release of the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation’s Draft Odour guideline for prescribed premises, the Strategen scientific services team are holding a client seminar – led by Strategen’s Air Quality and scientific specialist Dr Peter Forster, where we will discuss:
- differences in approach contemplated by the new draft guidance
- implications of the guidelines for operations – including licensed premises that have existing odour conditions
- advantages and disadvantages of the approach
- Strategen’s view of where the final guidance might land.
While the guidance applies to prescribed activities and what the agency will expect in terms of odour impact assessment, it also provides direction for those whose developments may be affected by odour from existing or proposed odour activities.
Submissions on the draft guidance are open until the middle of April, and as Treasurer of CASANZ (Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand), Peter will be compiling the local branch’s response to the guidelines.
The feedback and discussion at the seminar will assist in finalising the submission.
The presentation will be held from 4.30pm on Wednesday 28th March. If you are a client of Strategen, click here to register your interest to attend.
